the designer based on aspects relevant to sculptures, paintings and the bi-dimensional aspect of marble on the facade of the Palazzo dei Dogi, developing over a 250m2 space, designed by the Visto architectural studio, divided in four rooms dedicated to the hotel industry (contract): reception, lounge, rooms and SPA.
“Interpreting the suggestions of marble in the Palazzo Ducale and working with precious marble, Galiotto – and the marble masons in Valle del Chiampo – created objects and

environments for contemporary use, of the highest artistic quality (but also open to functionality and reproduction) aimed at hospitality and greeting. If these objects and these rooms generally lead to understanding the memory of the Palazzo Ducale, their “destination” bears the seal of the historic role – and current role – of Venice as a welcoming "gateway" between the East and West, a meeting place and location of dialogue between people, populations, cultures and religions.”
