RAFFAELLO GALIOTTO
(Chiampo, 1967), industrial designer. After technical-chemistry training he studied painting at the Fine Arts Academy of Venice, and also attended the design course held by prof. Ennio Chiggio.
During his formative years he came into contact with the industrial world where he began design collaborations that led to work relationships enabling him to start up an activity and open his own industrial design office in 1993, immediately collaborating with Nardi, designing numerous stackable and folding chairs, tables and sunlounges and following all the design stages up to construction of the moulds, with an internal workshop and international outside concerns. Over the years he acquired wide expertise in the design of injection moulded, conventional and air moulded products of large sizes and with high production runs, while the ongoing and trusting relationship established between designers and the firm defined a precise success strategy oriented towards quality. His personal experience, which grew with other industrial concerns and other production processes in various contexts, acts as an incentive to bring to Nardi constant innovation in the products, with an open and targeted attitude.
His many travels for work even outside Europe have given him a global vision of the market and the various production requirements.
In his own office, and with his collaborators, in addition to designing products he also manages coordinated image and the design of display areas.
He has been an ordinary member of ADI (Industrial Design Association) since 1993, and is currently a member of the ADI committee for North East Italy.
